Travelling abroad for surgery is a big decision, and it deserves careful planning. Patients who feel calm and well informed before they travel usually have a smoother experience. Here is how the process works with my practice, step by step, and the questions I encourage every patient to ask.
1. Start with a conversation, not a booking
The first step is an online video consultation with me personally, not with a coordinator. We talk about what bothers you, what you would like to change, and how you breathe. You can send me a message on WhatsApp in your own language; we communicate in English and use translation support for other languages.
2. Receive a personal plan and price
After the consultation, you receive a treatment plan and your package price. The price depends on your personal plan, which is why it is shared after the consultation rather than before. You should understand what is included before you make any travel arrangements.
3. Plan about 7 days in Türkiye
For rhinoplasty, plan a 7-day stay. The splint and nasal packing are removed on day 7, and after the final check-up you can fly home. My clinic is in Kırklareli, close to the Bulgarian border and within driving distance of Istanbul, and surgeries are performed at Lüleburgaz Özel Medikent Hospital.

4. Questions worth asking any surgeon
- Who will perform my surgery, and will I speak with the surgeon before I travel?
- Will my breathing be evaluated as well as the shape of my nose?
- Which technique do you plan to use for my nose, and why?
- Is the clinic authorised to treat international patients?
- How will follow-up work once I am back home?

5. After you return home
Recovery continues after you leave. Swelling, especially at the tip of the nose, fades gradually over months, and the final result usually settles over about a year. Follow-up continues online, so you can share your progress and ask questions whenever you need.
